Electric Vehicle Charging

Beginning in Q3 of 2022, Illinois will again be awarding rebates for the installation of electric vehicle charging infrastructures. Charging station grants from Springfield are not new, but they have been absent for years due to improper funding. Yet comprehensive new legislation sets the future rebate amount at 80% and will allow Illinois to provide the infrastructure it needs to support our transition to sustainable transportation. In fact, this duty is the origin of New Chicago over a decade ago.
